In this article the author talks about the cookbook "Cooking With Friends." According to the author, the book which she received as a gift on a Christmas morning in 1995, is a marketing conceit designed to provide a holiday gift for one's niece or neighbor. The author says that the recipes which the book contains are fundamental in nature.
