ABSTRACT
The article reports on Ernie Ball Inc.'s unique new Cobalt alloy electric guitar strings that offer measurably higher output, flying out of stores at a premium price. Instead of the conventional nickel-plated steel, these strings are made from a proprietary cobalt alloy, offering more output and a different tonality. Brian Ball and his team of engineers at the company systematically experiment with alterative materials.
