ABSTRACT
The article reports that the "referral fees" Amazon.com Inc. charges to several third party retailers who sell on its platform has been raised by the online retail giant from 12% to 15%, effective May 30, 2012. In a letter mailed to retailers, the Amazon Services Department wrote, they will be changing the referral fee for the Musical Instruments category in order to continue investing in the platform and creating value for sellers and customers.
