ABSTRACT
The article provides information on a super alloy or high-performance alloy, which is usually made up of nickel, cobalt or nickel-iron. The material reportedly exhibits excellent mechanical strength and creep resistance at high temperatures. Driven primarily by the aerospace and power industries, new super alloys are the result of chemical and process innovations. The elements that give super alloys their strong properties are the reasons why the material presents machining challenges.
