ABSTRACT
The article presents maps and discusses the ethnic divisions and tribal boundaries of western Liberia. Information is offered on the history and territorial claims of the TewO, Tombe, Gawula and Vai Kone chiefdoms. Other topics include the geographic dominance of the Gola chiefdoms, dialects, and variations of culture between clans.
