The article discusses different common applications in exploiting coherent light beam propagation. It explores the complexity of mathematical theories for partially spatially coherent beams, however, Gaussian beams can be constructed and propagated through analytic tools. It also provides an equation that predicts the coherence function of light beam propagation using optical software.

In this paper we demonstrate a recursive method for obtaining the moments of the generalized hyperbolic distribution. The method is readily programmable for numerical evaluation of moments. For low order moments we also give an alternative derivation of the moments of the generalized hyperbolic...

Detection thresholds were obtained for Gaussian-shaped tone-pips of 1, 2, 3, or 4 periods duration for 20 frequencies spanning 50-3,000 Hz, in quiet, and in high-pass noise, for a single exceptionally patient and experienced listener. Thresholds were fitted by straight lines in decibels SPL...

In this paper we investigate Gaussian queues in the light-traffic and in the heavy-traffic regime. Let $Q^{(c)}_{X}\equiv\{Q^{(c)}_{X}(t):t\ge0\}$ denote a stationary buffer content process for a fluid queue fed by the centered Gaussian process X≡{ X( t): t∈ℝ} with stationary...

In this paper, a Bernoulli - Euler beam fixed on a moving cart and carrying a lumped tip mass is considered. The equations of motion which describe the global motion as well as the vibrational motion were derived using the extended Hamilton's principle. The obtained equations of motion are...

Many models for the study of point-referenced data explicitly introduce spatial random effects to capture residual spatial association.
