ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the first group of openly gay cadets who graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy on May 23, 2012. Trish Heller of Blue Alliance said that their group wants to serve, become professional, and become symbols of what it means to be graduates of the Air Force Academy. Air Force Academy spokesman John Van Winkle says that the American society has become more accepting of the LGBT community from the time when a strict no-gay policy was being enforced in the military.
