ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the use of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), a data transfer mechanism in high-performance telecommunications networks, in mobile backhaul networks. MPLS, a combination of the best features of asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switching and IP routing, is a connection-oriented technology which offers efficiency and resiliency along with enabling flexibility and service customization.
