ABSTRACT
The author differentiates between the furs offered for sale from a predator caller or shooter and those from trappers. He claims that trappers offer furs that are generally clean, well-handled and with no visible damage. Shooters offer furs that were damaged with visible holes and dried blood. He cites some criteria for grading furs including color, fur quality, size and sex. He offers tips on how to remedy a fur damaged by bullets.
