ABSTRACT
The article offers information on a notice issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regarding flood hazard determinations. The purpose of the notice will be to seek information regarding Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) related to Flood Insurance Study (FIS) conducted by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The reports are based on floodplain management measures that must be adopted and will be used by the insurance agents for calculating flood insurance premium.
