ABSTRACT
The article offers information on a notice of final determination (FD) issued by the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regarding the updation of state residential building energy efficiency codes. This FD requires the U.S. states to file certification statements (CS) to the DOE that they have reviewed the provisions of their residential building code regarding energy efficiency. The due date for providing the CS by the states is May 17, 2014.
