ABSTRACT
The article presents information on a final rule issued by the U.S. Office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Treasury regarding its amendment to the U.S. Privacy Act of 1974. This rule has been issued due to transfer of functions of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to the U.S. Department of Justice. The rule will be effective by May 15, 2012.
