ABSTRACT
The article presents information on a final rule issued by the U.S. Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. (PBGC) regarding amendment of its regulations related to the benefits payable in case of terminated single employer plans. This final rule has been issued in accordance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 of the U.S. The rule helps PBGC for determining whether the benefits payable is in lumpsum and also for determining the amount to pay.
