ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the airworthiness directive (AD) issued by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. for its Model S-92A helicopters. This AD requires inspection of the tail rotor pylon for crack, damage and corrosion. The AD has been issued to prevent failure of the tail rotor pylon and loss of control of the helicopter. The department is soliciting public comments on this AD by July 13, 2012 via electronic mail, fax or in writings.
