ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the airworthiness directive (AD) issued by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation to Boeing Co. for its series of airplanes. This AD requires repair or replacement of the cracked bulkhead. The AD has been issued to prevent fatigue cracking of the aft pressure and loss of control of the airplane. The AD will be effective from June 18, 2012.
