ABSTRACT
The article discusses same-sex marriage advocate Evan Wolfson, founder and president of the advocacy group Freedom to Marry, and his invitation to speak at the 2012 Barnard College commencement ceremony along with U.S. President Barack Obama. Wolfson's work in states including Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York and President Obama's views on same-sex marriage are also discussed.
