The article focuses on the ceramics program of the Nacional Universidad de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina, as of May 1, 2012. The author discusses the facade of the university that consists of handmade murals made of red clay tiles. Topics include ceramics professor Beatiz Ordόñez, her involvement in a factory for the production of dinnerware, and the symbolism expressed by Ordόñez in her sculptures.
