GEOWorld;May2012, Vol. 25 Issue 5, p26
The article focuses on the use of Google technologies such as the Google Earth, which has high resolution satellite images, three-dimensional (3-D) buildings and road-network data layers for visualization of transit information. It says that the Google Earth also allows the navigation and exploration of a 3-D globe in Web browser. It discusses the use of Google technologies in the online interactive transit-inventory project of Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) in California.
