ABSTRACT
EVERYWHERE I went in the US last week, the euro dominated. It has become the question everyone is asking, all over the world. So can the eurozone do anything to stop the downward spiral? And what can individual countries do to limit their own vulnerabilities? I often wonder why the intellectual leadership here in Britain is quite so obsessed with the euro. Today's revised official GDP figures for the first quarter of this year sort of tell us why.
