HC2012, this year's BCS Health Informatics Congress, took place at the Business Design Centre in London for the first time. However, change of venue aside, it was business as usual with a number of important and influential speakers on hand to lead on a variety of, at times, controversial topics.Matthew Swindells, Chair, BCS Health, reports on the opening plenary that asked the sticky question: are IT staff at the frontline of healthcare change?
