Plant & Pest Advisory: Landscape, Nursery & Turf;5/17/2012, Vol. 18 Issue 5, p3
The article provides information on new business opportunities for arboricultural businesses developed by solar energy. Solar energy is expected to provide seven percent of the world's electricity by the year 2020. The solar industry recommends an exclusion zone, where no tree growth is allowed so that solar panels can be located in that area instead of a solar safe zone area where appropriately sized tree can grow and mature without shading solar panels.
