ABSTRACT
The article focuses on boredom and enlightens on the different aspects related to it in work organizations. It highlights the differences between the transient state and the trait state boredom and reports on the contributory perspectives that cause boredom. It describes boredom as an experience without qualities and associates its meaning to the social changes that took place in modernity.
