ABSTRACT
The article reports on the start of the operation of an energy storage solution from U.S. energy firm Siemens Infrastructure & Cities in Italy in February 2012. It states that the piloting plant has a capacity of 500 kilowatts per hour and an output of a megavolt ampere. According to the author, the solution is a part of the Siestorage series and has been installed in Enel, Italy's medium voltage distribution network.
