ABSTRACT
The article reports that commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) slipped 11.8% in March 2012 and 9.6% in first quarter (Q1) 2012 based on a report from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA). All significant markets, except Germany, shrank in March with Italy posting the highest drop at 45.4%. EU recorded a total 451,244 new commercial vehicles for Q1 2012. A breakdown of new registrations for light and heavy commercial vehicles is given.
