ABSTRACT
The article shares hands-on activities to show care for horses. It suggests horse owners to groom the area around scabs, or remove them if necessary to treat a skin condition. Additional information may be considered in a horse's stall card such as a photo of the horse, name and phone number of its regular veterinarian, and feeding schedule. Several signs show that an arena surface needs renovation, including aggregation of the subsurface, audible footfalls of horses, and accumulated puddles.
