The article focuses on the effect of cloud computing to the customer relationships of technology companies. According to "Consumption Economics" author J. B. Wood, driving usage in the new cloud economics is more critical because almost all of the revenue is consumption-based. It also discusses how companies that offer cloud-based solutions can retain customers. It adds that the said companies should modify the means they manage and monitor relationships with customers.
