ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the economic policies and the economic conditions in the United States. Recently, Commerce Secretary Don Evans released the report "The Case for Confidence," which argues that, despite huge stock-market losses, there is much good news on the economic front. In the past two years, the entire federal budget has increased by 200 billion dollars, which is more money than the entire gross domestic product of many countries. The U.S. Congress is about to approve another 150 billion dollars expenditure hike.
