ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the feminization of food insecurity in Bangladesh. A background on the instability of rice prices in domestic markets is provided along with its impact on food security. Findings of the Food and Agriculture Organization/World Food Program (FAO/WFP) are discussed relative to the situation of women as regard food insecurity. The open market sales (OMS) program is presented along with the impact of the liberalization of Bangladesh's economy on perpetual market turbulence.
