ABSTRACT
The article discusses dealing with menstrual periods. Physician Melissa Kang explains that most girls get their first period two years after undergoing puberty indicators such as breast development and pubic hair growth. Details of the menstrual cycle are explained including the bleeding of the uterus for approximately 14 days after ovulation. Some side effects of menstrual periods are cited including cramps, mood swings, and aching back.
