ABSTRACT
The article presents several views of businessmen on whether Facebook's acquisition of Instagram for 1 billion U.S. dollars was a good trade. Paul Gilbert finds the move by Facebook as a smart one although the price paid makes it a very poor deal. Oliver Palmer notes that the acquisition is all about preventing users from going anywhere else but Facebook. Ben Hourahine sees the acquisition as a defensive move by Facebook.
