The article focuses on the factors that intensify the changes in the quantity and quality of that demand, and their implications. It mentions that two countries that will particularly influence demand for food will be India and China, due mainly to the sheer size of their populations. Moreover, it notes that the nutritional demands of the growing and changing populations will make changes in the types of foods that are consumed.
