ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the approach of urban development in the U.S. for the purpose of sustainable growth, economic revitalization and affordable housing. It discusses the U.S. Supreme Court case Kelo v. City of New London, wherein it was determined that public use of land can be used as an endorsement to urban revitalization. It presents innovative ways of rethinking on the approach related to effectiveness of public-private partnership and tax incentives required for development.
