ABSTRACT
The article discusses an appeal by the European DIY Retailers Association (Edra) to strengthen support for trades shows. It notes that the EDRA expressed concern over the notable absence of brand names in trade shows across Great Britain and Europe. In relation to this, retailers attribute the absence of big brand companies to the costs involved in exhibition space. The Edra finds it irregular to see brand executives attending trade shows without any product representations in booths.
