ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the television (TV) news broadcasting of the Central American peace process in Nicaragua on national news networks in the U.S. and Canada covering in English, French, and Spanish languages. The news coverage encompassed the last major military offensive of the U.S.-backed contra forces and a meeting advancing the Central America Peace Plan. The author notes that textual analysis has showed how discursive boundaries in news presentation vary by country and language.
