ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a study which suggests a link between an increase in resting heart rate (RHR) over a 10-year period and increased risk of ischemic heart disease (IHD) death. The study involved 30,000 apparently healthy men and women who had an increase in their resting heart rate. The researchers found that the association of changes in RHR with all causes of death was similar to those observed for IHD mortality.
