Western Farm Press Exclusive Insight;3/22/2012, p12
The article discusses herbicide resistant ryegrass affecting Southwest wheat growers. Jim Swart, Texas AgriLife Extension integrated pest management specialist believes that wheat in northeast Texas showing resistant ryegrass infestations may be closer to 20 percent in 2012 compared to 10 percent in 2011. Swart proposes a two-step program, a resistant ryegrass management system that includes application of Axiom, then with Axial XL with half-ounce of Amber for broadleaf weeds control.
