ABSTRACT
The article discusses efforts of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and other business and industry partners to urge the U.S. Congress to act and grant Russia Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR). Russia has joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) and failure to grant PNTR may result in lost U.S. market share. It notes that states with most-favored-nation (MFN) status with Russia will economically benefit from Russia's entry into the WTO.
