ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the airworthiness directive (AD) issued by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to Airbus Airplanes for its series of airplanes. This AD requires inspections of the nose landing gear (NLG) for defects, damage and cracks. The AD has been issued to detect and correct NLG to prevent failure and collapse. The AD will be effective from April 4, 2012. The FAA is soliciting public comments on this AD by May 29, 2012 via electronic mail or in writings.
