ABSTRACT
The article assesses the effect of Betulinic acid (BA) indomethacin-induced peptic ulcer and anti-inflammatory properties in experimental albino rats. After the administration of BA orally, indomethacin is administered subcutaneously to all the animals in four groups. A progressive increase of paw oedema is noted after the rats were injected by carrageenin and the dose dependent inhibition of oedema decreases after BA and aspirin were administered. The BA is also noted responsible for the decrease in ulcer scores.
