ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the U.S. exports of hardwood lumber during 2012. There has been a downward trend in log exports the past few years due to higher fuel and freight costs. Export of hardwood lumber to several countries is discussed including Canada, Mexico, Vietnam and China. The supplies of the U.S. hardwoods are low for the key species due to which the buyers and sellers are now taking steps with cautions.
