ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a case-control study of postmenopausal women that investigated the performance of several prediction models in forecasting risk of breast cancer. The performance of the model based on an initial set of seven breast cancer risk single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) is improved by including other breast cancer risk SNPs. It was found that genetic risk factors and mammographic density provided adequate improvements to clinical risk factor models for predicting breast cancer.
