ABSTRACT
The article reports on the 116% increase in revenues posted by Vimpelcom, a Russian telecommunications (telecom) group, in the third quarter ended September 30, 2011. Revenues have reached 6.093 billion U.S. dollars, marking an increase from the 2.824 billion dollars posted in the previous year. It also notes that net income fell 79% to 104 million dollars. Chief executive officer (CEO) Jo Lunder states that the company has a strong cash flow of 1.9 billion U.S. dollars coming from operations.
