The article features National Basketball Association (NBA) player Gary Forbes, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 19. It relates that Forbes joins the NBA's Development League following his failure to enter NBA in 2008 and was able to enter NBA with the Toronto Raptors team in 2010. It says that Forbes already consider his diabetes as part of his life. Moreover, Forbes advises diabetic people that they can still have an ordinary life if they will exercise and eat healthy.
