ABSTRACT
Reports on the identification of human toll-like receptors (TLR) which are linked to the origin of inflammatory acne and offers opportunity for the development of anti-acne treatment. Assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine in the University of California, Jenny Kim's discussion of her research that demonstrates Propionibacterium acnes-induced production of pro-inflammatory cytokines; TLR involvement in wound healing and tissue repair.
