The article focuses on providing transitional homeless shelters for individuals in need in the U.S. It discusses the renovation project of Cordero House through the Home Builders Foundation (HBF) of Metropolitan Portland, Oregon that aims to add 1,000 square feet to the structure including kitchen, increased storage and upgraded appliance. It notes that the HBF team received in-kind contributions of labor and materials in excess of the 350,000 donations from more than 380 industry professionals.
