ABSTRACT
The author reflects on how the saying of his mother "birds of a feather flock together," has guided him to choosing his affiliations and his friends. Information is presented on the Shag On gang that invited him when he was in fifth grade and why he declined their invitation. He shares that his respect to his mother had motivated him not to join the group of W boys which was known to cause trouble.
