Double Rydberg anions: Photoelectron spectroscopy of NH[sub 4][sup -], N[sub 2]H[sub 7][sup -], N[sub 3]H[sub 10][sup -], N[sub 4]H[sub 13][sup -], and N[sub 5]H[sub 16][sup -]

We report the discovery and photoelectron spectroscopic study of the four double Rydberg anions: N[sub 2]H[sup -][sub 7], N[sub 3]H[sup -][sub 10], N[sub 4]H[sup -][sub 13], and N[sub 5]H[sup -][sub 16]; of three solvated double Rydberg anions; and of a previously unseen feature in the spectrum of the double Rydberg anion, NH[sup -][sub 4]. In each case, vertical detachment energies were measured and vibrational features tentatively assigned. In the case of solvated double Rydberg anions, anion-neutral interaction energies were also determined.
