ABSTRACT
The article presents an update on environmental law in England as of October 2011. John Smith and his sons David and George Loveridge received prison sentences after pleading guilty to charges of operating an illegal scrap yard in Cambrideshire. David and Julie Brotherton and their sons Daniel and Sean of West Yorkshire will be imprisoned after entering a guilty plea to charges of running an illegal waste transfer station contrary to environmental regulations.
