ABSTRACT
The article describes the case of a patient presenting with an 18-year history of type II diabetes and an ocular history of nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy. It was revealed that the patient's clinical condition was consistent with lipedemic retinopathy with coexistent severe nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy. She later developed clinically significant macular edema in the left eye with subfoveal hard exudates treated with several intravitreal injections of Avastin.
