ABSTRACT
The article announces that former American Geographical Society (AGS) executive director Mary Lynne Bird is presented by AGS Councilors with the Charles P. Daly Medal award. It states that Bird is also honored with the title Direcor Emeritus. It states that Bird's extraordinary leadership is valuable to the life of the organization and to the disciplines of geography in the U.S. Moreover, the award is given to Bird for her diplomatic skills and collegial approach to leadership and service.
